It is with sad hearts that we inform you that Canton Calvary Mission will close its doors on February 23rd. We have served hundreds of thousands of meals, given away millions of pounds of food, and left an impact on the Gibbs neighborhood that will be felt for generations. We’ve partnered with multiple churches, community agencies and organizations to provide services beyond our footprint to our participants. We say thank you for your support in serving our community for the past 21 years.
The decision to close the mission made by the Canton Calvary Mission Director and Board of Trustees came after months of prayer and exploring every possible avenue. The work that the mission does in the community is so precious to us and we didn't want to lose that.  This closing has been a tough reality that this organization has been facing for many years.
The mission will serve the community until the day of closing.  We need your continued support to do this.  We need volunteers to help with the pantry and financial donations to leave personnel in place and pay any final expenses.  We also covet your prayers for the tough days ahead.  Below, you will find how you can help.
To volunteer your time please call (330) 454-8610 ext. 2.
If you would like to make a final donation, we encourage you do so through the website to ensure we receive the funds in a timely manner: Also, we want to make you aware that we will stop receiving donor’s funds on February 15th.
Lastly, the Executive Director and Board of Trustees invite you to come out and celebrate Canton Calvary Mission with us on Saturday, March 19 at 2pm. The celebration will be held at Church of the Lakes UMC, to ensure we have a proper head count we ask that you RSVP through our website.
